Danville Farmers Market Announces 2026 Season - A Weekly Community Night Returns to the Green

The Danville Farmers Market is returning for the 2026 season with a familiar tradition and renewed energy. Beginning Wednesday, June 10, the market will be held Wednesdays from 3:30pm to 7:00pm through October 14 on the Danville Green.

For many years, Wednesdays were a cherished gathering time for the Danville community, bringing together local farmers, food producers, artisans, and neighbors. As the market relaunches under the leadership of the Danville Chamber of Commerce and community volunteers, organizers felt it was important to honor that tradition.

“Wednesdays have long been the heart of the Danville Farmers Market,” organizers shared. “As we rebuild and grow the market, we wanted to give this historic day another chance before considering other days or times in the future. We’re excited to see the community gather again.”

This year, the market is being revamped as more than just a farmers market — it’s a weekly community night on the Green. Organizers are leaning into creating an experience: a place where people come not just to shop, but to spend the evening. Visitors can expect live music, local groceries, handmade goods, prepared foods, activities for children, and plenty of reasons to linger with friends and neighbors.

The goal is to create a lively weekly gathering where people come for dinner, pick up their produce, enjoy music, let the kids play, and experience the best of the Northeast Kingdom.

Organizers are also excited to welcome the first confirmed vendor of the season, The Shepherd’s Hearth.

The Shepherd’s Hearth is a small, family-owned business known for sourcing exclusively the best local and seasonally available food and cooking solely over an open wood fire. They will be offering “A Taste of the Kingdom” the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at the Danville Farmers Market throughout the season. Having recently moved to Danville, Jesse and Lucia Kaufman, owners of this unique catering company, are excited to share what they love with the community they now proudly call home.

Everything on their menu will be sourced from Northeast Kingdom growers, producers, and makers, with as many ingredients as possible gathered directly from other market vendors on site. The result is a truly Vermont culinary experience rooted in the flavors and farms of the region. 

Vendor applications will be available soon, and organizers encourage farmers, food producers, artisans, musicians, and community partners to get involved as the market continues to grow.
