It is with genuine sadness that we share the news that the Caledonia Farmers Market Association has decided to discontinue the Danville Farmers Market.
For more than 25 years, the market has been a cherished part of Danville’s identity — a place where neighbors gather, local farmers and makers thrive, and our community spirit is on full display. The Danville Farmers Market has never been just about produce and products; it has been about connection, tradition, and supporting local livelihoods.
We believe that this legacy deserves to continue.
The Danville Chamber of Commerce, along with committed community members and supporters, is actively exploring ways to keep a farmers market alive in Danville — whether that looks like a weekly market, bi-weekly gatherings, monthly events, or seasonal special markets. While the structure may evolve, our goal remains the same: to create a vibrant, sustainable space that supports local vendors and brings our community together.
But we cannot do this without you.
We are asking for feedback from:
Community members and shoppers
Current and potential vendors
Your input will help shape what the next chapter of the Danville Farmers Market could look like.
Please take a few minutes to complete the survey(s) linked below that apply to you. Your voice matters, and your participation will directly influence the path forward.
Together, we can honor decades of tradition and ensure that the Danville Farmers Market continues — in a form that reflects the needs and energy of our community today.
